I was born in Africa (Morocco). My husband, our two children, and I lived in Sudan for five years, visited Kenya, and then lived in Algeria for three years. In these three countries, we traveled from north to south and from west to east. I was a member of Amnesty International for many years and am still involved with cultural organizations.
Today, I would like to reconnect with Africa and do what I can to help this continent that is so dear to me (though I am unable to help on the ground due to my age and heart problems). In Sudan, my husband and I provided a great deal of assistance and forged ties with a Doctors Without Borders team that was treating wounded Eritreans (1983–1985).
