In the short term, we would like to build three classrooms, restrooms, and an office. In the future, since our village has only one public elementary school and one middle school, we plan to expand the school by combining the elementary and middle schools to accommodate all students who struggle to succeed in the public school system. Because when they fail, they either drop out of school or have to travel to neighboring villages—which are 5 to 7 km away—to continue their education under often difficult conditions.

St. Jean Bosco Elementary School is a private school founded in 2018 by Brother Nathanael Tabla, a member of the St. Jean Catholic community. It was established to make education more accessible to the village’s children by offering low tuition (between €15 and €30 per month). It is located in Toubab Dialaw, a village on the Petite Côte south of Dakar, Senegal.
The project to create the SAINT JEAN-BOSCO school complex comes at just the right time. This new school complex will help address certain challenges facing the municipality’s education system.
Vision: To build an environment where every child can envision success. A modern school will be made available to the school-age population in the area, along with local transportation options.
