What is the Bellingham Traverse?
The Bellingham Traverse a community relay-race in Bellingham that welcomes people of all skill levels. The emphasis is on fun and enjoying the beautiful Northwest.
  • When: Saturday, September 21, 2013
  • Team size: 5 people (you can also race as tandem pairs or solo)
  • Race legs:
    • 5.5 mile Run
    • 6 mile Mountain bike
    • 18 mile Road Ride
    • 3 mile Trail Run
    • 4 mile Paddle
    • .5 mile Team Trek to the finish line at Boundary Bay
  • Prizes: corporate sponsors give prizes away through a raffle.  The more you raise, the higher your chances of winning!

    What are the Action For Africa team member benefits?
    As a team member, you will receive:
    • Action For Africa race shirt
    • Special registration rate
    • Invitation for you, friends and family to our post-race party at the Bellingham Depot Market Square - immediately adjacent to the finish line

    How do I register?
    • Have the team captain fill out the form below for the entire team.

    How do I fundraise?
    Paper based
    If you prefer, you can print out a pledge form. The total team mileage will be 37 miles.  Your donors can sponsor you @ $1/mile = $37, $2/mile = $74, $5/mile = $185 etc.

    What if I'm looking for a team or a racer?
    We're expecting people to be self-sufficient in organizing their teams. That said, if you want to race and don't have a team,  let us know via email
